So, Campo got the crucial goal but the applause was all for Jaaskelainen.
MANAGERS COMMENTS..........
Big Sam said: "If you are talking about top goalkeepers, he is up there with Petr Cech and Edwin van der Sar.
"His performances this year have been better than ever before but none more so than today.
"The goalkeeper has made a hero of himself by saving two penalties and got us three crucial points.
"He has to pull all the stops out and made life very sweet for us."
Roberts won both penalties after stepping off the bench after challenges from Quinton Fortune then seeing his path blocked by Nicky Hunt and Gary Speed.
Allardyce, though, thought the first spot-kick awarded by referee Mike Dean was "dubious".
The Bolton boss said: "If you look at the dive from Jason Roberts you will see why. It was good theatricals to say the least.
"The second one I can understand a bit more as he is setting off to go down between two players.
"We were not at our best but we have got away with it.
"It is our resilience and our strive to be successful that keeps us going.
"I have never had a last five minutes like that. It was quite bizarre but we move onwards and upwards."
On Nolan's sending off, Allardyce said: "I think that is the frustration coming out.
"I don't like players doing it but I can understand why."
Mark 'Sparky' Hughes claims no side in the Premiership can protect a lead quite as well as us.
Although his side wasted several opportunities to take something from a pulsating derby game, the Blackburn boss admitted he feared the worst once Ivan Campo put Bolton ahead just after the hour mark.
"Once they get their nose in front they are very good at protecting the lead. They are probably the best in the Premier League at it," said Hughes.
"Our general play in the first half was as good as we have been this year.
"You always fear that Bolton were likely to cause us a problem at a set piece because they work very hard at that.
"Overall we felt the game we produced warranted more of a reward. On another day we will play a lot worse than that and win comfortably, but we will put that down to experience."
Hughes also argued that a first half header from Georgian defender Zurab Khizanishvili had crossed the line before Gary Speed hooked it clear.
"From my point of view it was clearly a goal." he said. "The referee got his position right, and I know these things happen very quickly, but I believe that if he looks at the video that he will have a very different view of it."
